Anti Rabies vaccine is not for sale

Bali provincial government said, the Anti Rabies vaccine (VAR) has been distributed to districts in Bali. VAR distributed free of charge to patients and not to for sale.

"Bali Provincial Government has provided funding for programs Bali free of rabies for Rp 10 billion. These funds are used to build the center in rabies district and distributed free VAR, "said Putu Bali Provincial Government Liaison Suardhika (17/11).

Although free, Suardhika admitted the difficulty of spreading the RS VAR districts in Bali because of its procurement process very difficult.

"Bali Provincial Government difficulties in procurement of VAR as a special agent distributing vaccines there is only one, namely PT Tempo. They did not dare to provide VAR stock in large quantities because the process is very difficult. One must consider the temperature. Very carefully so that no VAR is wasted, " explained Suardhika.

In Bali, rabies has now spread across six regions of Denpasar, Badung District, Tabanan, Gianyar, Bangli, Karangasem.

Until now has recorded 14,264 cases of dog bites, and as many as 15 people died.
